Our Story

Our Vineyard

Our Vineyard

Vicki and I began this journey several years ago. With retirement approaching we were looking for something we both enjoyed and could do together.

Our Vineyard

Our Vineyard

Our Vineyard

After purchasing a small acreage of this Century Farm in 2010 we wanted to put it back into production. Our love of wines and making wine fit the bill. Over several years we began to alter the landscape and building a vineyard, winery, and tasting room.

Our Wines

Although our love is dry red wines, we try to produce wines for every palate. A good wine is a wine that you like whether its sweet, dry or someplace in between. Nearly all of our wines are made with cold hardy grapes, and come for local vineyards.

Updated January 7th, 2023

Yes, we are open year-round, normal hours 10 to 5, Friday - Sunday. Contact us for other times.

We have just re-released "Haymow" Dessert wine.

Wines

Red Wines

Our reds are sourced from; our vineyard, local vineyards, and juice from outside the Midwest.

Marquette Reserve

$25

Our Reserve is a 2017 vintage, aged in

French Oak since the spring of 2018. She has matured into an elegant red wine, that is quickly becoming one of our favorites.

Marquette

$20

This  cousin of Frontenac and grandson of Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied wine, with  aromas of cherries, blackcurrants and blackberries. This wine remains rustic and hardy, a trait built by  the harsh climates in which this grape is grown.   Also, available as a Semi Sweet. Pairs   well with:  Lamb,  roast duck, New York Strip Steak, charcuterie

Petite Pearl

$20

This  barrel aged estate wine is a dry but refreshing wine with notes of blackberry  and cherry. The Petite Pearl is known as a the crown jewel of grapes, with  its balanced, yet exciting flavor and its deep red garnet color will make the drinker feel like royalty with every sip.   Pairs   well with:  Dark chocolate , red meats, hard cheese

Frontenac

$20

This  French-American hybrid is versatile and full-bodied. With a deep garnet color, and hints of the oak barrels in which it is aged, this warm, chocolately wine hints at the flavors of plum and cherry.    Pairs  well with:  Duck and pheasant; pasta in red sauce; smoky, savory foods

St Croix

$20

A  full-bodied wine holding hints of dark  berries and currants. This wine does not disappoint with it's soft tannins  and fruity aroma that makes it easy to drink.   Pairs   well with:  Steaks, baked beans and rye bread; cajun   food

Red Table Wine - Pinot Noir

$18

Pinot  Noir, one of the oldest grapes in the world, has earned its place at the   dinner table. This fruit-forward wine gives the drinker notes of cherry and blackberry and subtle hints of  earthiness. A great wine that is cozy enough to be served with a simple  dinner at home and versitile enough to bring to gatherings with friends.  Pairs   well with:   Red  meats, hard cheeses, Mexican, spicy/salty foods

Semi Sweet Red Wines

Semi Sweet wines are slightly sweeter than their dry counterparts, this can enhance aromas and flavors that appeal to many.
